Easy Microwave Fudge Recipe

This is the original photo I took of my fudge recipe for my then blog Sweet Life in The Valley back in 2009!

We make this fudge recipe every Christmas. It is easy & rich & creamy. It is a recipe that is easy enough for even the beginner cook. It can be enjoyed at any time throughout the year.

Easy Microwave Fudge

  • 1 stick butter (half cup)

  • 2 cups of sugar

  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk

  • 1tsp vanilla

  • 2 cups mini-marshmallows

  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Melt butter, then add sugar and milk. Cook in the microwave for 3 minutes on high, stirring. Cook another 3 minutes on high, stirring. Cook 2 minutes on high, stirring. Add vanilla, marshmallows, and chocolate chips. Mix until melted. Pour into a greased 8x8 pan. Allow to set up.

Caution when making any candy in the microwave the bowl & the fudge mixture will be very hot!

Sweet & Simple Tips:

  • line pan with foil to turn out fudge easily

  • add chopped nuts

  • use milk or white chocolate chips in place of semi-sweet chips

  • use peanut butter in place of chocolate chips
